Our dental team will refresh your kiddo’s smile by scaling their teeth to remove plaque and calculus. Their teeth will be polished with a high-powered brush and delicious flavored toothpaste such as strawberry/chocolate/marshmallow. Lastly, their teeth will be flossed to remove any remaining food particles and debris.

Comprehensive
Exam

Your child’s dentist will examine their mouth for cavities, gum disease and other signs of potential oral health concerns. They will also view your child’s X-rays to aid in diagnosis. After the check up, the doctor will brief you and your child on how to address any dental health needs so you can make informed care decisions together.

Digital
‍X-Rays

X-rays are not required at every dental appointment and are usually taken every other visit to ensure your child’s oral development is on track. X-rays may be required if the dentist suspects cavities or an infection. If your child’s dentist determines that x-rays are needed, our team will take them with your permission.

Fluoride
Treatment

Fluoride treatments consist of a fluoride gel or paste that is “painted” onto your child’s teeth after a teeth cleaning. The fluoride helps remineralize and strengthen your child’s teeth, and can even reverse “soft white spots” which are the first stage of tooth decay.

Not at all! You will only pay $129 for your child’s new patient special. No hidden costs here! If one of our doctors notices any issues, they will address them and develop a treatment plan that works for your budget and your child’s specific dental needs.

What Happens After My Child’s First Visit?

If your child’s smile is healthy, our team will make sure to get them scheduled for a routine preventive appointment in six months. If one of our doctors does recommend further treatment, they will be sure to walk you through your options and answer any questions you may have. It’s always our goal to help you feel informed and confident about your child’s treatment plan at Little Roots Pediatric Dentistry.

Can I Use Dental Insurance?

While our New Patient Special cannot be combined with insurance, we are in-network with a wide range of providers.
